Dawn Wanser received her Ordained Senior Chaplaincy license on March 26,2019 through the
International Fellowship of Chaplains. She is honored to provide support to Caregivers, their families and her community in times of need.
After the loss of her two sons, Cody and Jacob, Dawn struggled with finding her purpose. She had been a full time Caregiver for more than half of her life and no doubt there was a season of brokenness to work through.
In July of 2017, she accepted a position at Rockland Community Church as a Care Ministry Associate, where she served nearly three years. It was there that she ministered to people going through desperate times and found ways to serve her congregation and the community through the help and management of volunteer support. Dawn also recognized that she had a gift to be a very present help in the time of trouble as she allowed God to work through her in faith and in hope. She then pursued her Chaplaincy training where she could enhance and provide additional support to A Caretaker's Wish and her community.
"Going through the experience of such great loss in my life, I never thought I would be able to continue in this type of work. It goes to show us all that God knows better than we do. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are much higher than ours. I truly and deeply love Caregivers and I know that at some point, they too, will endure heartbreaking times.
If they need me, I'll be there." ~ Dawn Wanser
